Purchasing your dream home online sounds like a click-bait ad invoking a scam, but it’s the truth, and it is as efficient and timesaving as it sounds. Everything you need is just a click away! Over the past decade online shopping has become hugely popular. From clothes to gadgets – people find it easier to purchase things online than going to different stores to find their desired products. It is fast, efficient and secure. But the internet and online trade also come with its share of risks. Some of these risks include theft of data, theft of money and scams. If you do decide to buy property online, here are some tips to keep your money and property safe:

1. Choose a reputed platform.

There are dozens of platforms that help you buy property online but they are not all reputable. Some platforms are better equipped to handle your transactions and protect your privacy and security than others. Research reputable platforms before choosing one for your purchase. 2. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

If you see a property that you are interested in buying for well under the market value of similar properties in that area, you should proceed with caution. Be alert to scams.

3. Do your homework.

If you do find a property for sale online that you think you might want to buy, make sure you have a better-than-average chance of verifying that it is indeed a legal property that is for sale. Luckily, Estate Agent Power does it for you and you can rest assured that you are investing in a genuine property.

4. Use a secure method of payment.

When it comes time to actually make an offer on the property, only do so using a secure method of payment, such as your credit card or PayPal. Avoid sending checks or wires directly to the seller.

5. Get it all in writing.

If a sale seems to be agreed upon, put everything in writing, with the purchase agreement signed by both you and the seller. The purchase agreement or contract should include details, such as the closing date, the price of the property and a list of any contingencies of the sale. You must sign the purchase agreement and get the seller’s signature on the purchase agreement for the contract to be valid.
